Polaris 570 Timing Marks. 2017 Polaris Predator Timing Marks Service Manual And when I barely turn it so that the timing marks are parallel to the head like this: I am wondering if I need to adjust the timing belt because the exhaust cam timing marks are off on the cylinder head (see pics below)

if you have spark, and fuel, and compression, it should fire Ok, go to the right side of the quad and bend down a bit (that doesn't sound too good, but just stay with me here), lol, you should see small "timing" marks on the cams

Polaris DVR mirror & Drift Innovation action camera With the valve cover and thermostat housing removed, rotate the engine so the cam lobes are facing outward and the Cylinder Holding and Camshaft Timing Plate (PU-50563) can be installed into the slots of the camshafts as shown. This on a 570 RZR but nobody seems to be commenting much in the RZR forums and it should be the same on all 570's I believe.

Timing on 2020 Sportsman 570 Polaris ATV Forum. There is top dead center and bottom dead center twice for each complete combustion/exhaust cycle - timing is done at TDC and there is only one TDC - whether it is TDC of the combustion stroke or exhaust stroke is determined by the camshaft that is turning 1/2 as fast as the crankshaft - crankshaft makes two full rotations for each one rotation of the camshaft.
